This is a Fashionista Event. I was given a promotional item to review by 9thandElm.com to share my opinions about the website. All opinions are my own.
9thandElm.com was founded by Clay and Elly Bethune in the spring of 2013 with a mission to bring its members fabulous fashion from the best handmade and independent designers. We realize it is extremely difficult to sort through and discover handmade fashion geared towards the “fashionista”. Search no longer. Exclusive deals handpicked by our buyers will be delivered daily to our users’ inboxes. This site is a multiple designer site.
As a Fashionista blogger, I received a $70 credit to spend at 9thandElm.com. So far, I have purchased three items with my credit. I still have about $6 remaining and am just waiting for that next “gotta-have -it” piece to appear! New vendors are featured every day and I always look forward to seeing all the cool new items! 9thandElm.com features jewelry, clothing, handbags, and accessories. Many of their items are handmade and/or unique. If you are looking for something unusual, look no further than 9thandElm.com!
Because many of the items at 9thandElm.com are handmade, quantities are limited. If you see something you really want, don’t wait! Buy it right away! On the other hand, I have seen successful vendors return for another run. One of the vendors that I loved and missed out on was featured again and I was able to get a wonderful bracelet (details below). So, if you do miss something you really wanted, keep on the lookout for it. It just might reappear!

OK, I know! You are probably thinking, “Stop talking already and show us the cool stuff you selected!”
First, I selected a Navy Blue Infinity Scarf. It arrived very quickly and was wrapped nicely in brown tissue paper that was stamped by the vendor. What a lovely special touch! Infinity scarves are all the rage these days. But, I don’t normally wear a scarf of any kind. That’s why this scarf appealed to me. I wanted to try something that was unusual for me.
One of the things I love about my infinity scarf is that it is versatile. With a little imagination, you can wear an infinity scarf in many different ways. One way is featured in the photo below from artlab of a black infinity scarf “secured” with a gold belt. (Also shown below is the linen text scarf in neutral from artlab.) An infinity scarf can be worn long (just place the long loop around the neck and you’re done) or short (place it around the neck, twist it about halfway down, and then place around the neck again). I like wearing it “short” because it covers my chest. I dress modestly. I don’t want to worry that I “can’t” bend over in what I’m wearing, yet so many fashions these days are very immodest. The infinity scarf allows me to wear something low-cut yet retain my modesty because the scarf covers me well. Another idea for wearing the scarf is to use it as a necklace. Grab it by both ends and twist it tightly, then use a bracelet or short necklace to close the end loops of the scarf. You now have a “chunky necklace”!

Second, I selected a custom necklace from BPJ with my name, Cara. I can’t ever find anything with my name already on it, so the only way for me to get a personalized item is to order it custom. That’s why this necklace appealed to me. I could get a custom necklace at an affordable price! Although it was also available in “gold” and “rose gold,” I ordered it in sterling silver. I received it about a week after I ordered it. It arrived in a beautiful pink gift box. Once again, I thought that the presentation was a lovely touch. I have been very pleased with my necklace. It is pretty and the quality met my expectations. The only thing I wish I had done differently is to order it in a slightly longer chain size. I ordered an 18” chain, but wish I had ordered the 20”. Both of the photos below are of custom jewelry from BPJ. “Carrie” is shown in silver and the monogram is shown in rose gold.
Third, I ordered the “Believe and Wings” Arm Party Bracelet from Trend Alert. This was the vendor that sold out and then reappeared. The day my order arrived, I was dressed up for a special event. The bracelet matched my outfit, so I immediately put it on my arm. I love it so much! Seriously! I worried that it would seem a little “too busy” for me, but I put it on and thought it was so cool! I chose one that represents my faith – it has an infinity charm and a “believe” charm. Both of the photos below are of Arm Party Bracelets from Trend Alert. The black one is “Tree of Life” and the blue one is “Elephant Love.”
I want to show you a variety of additional items that have caught my eye over the last few weeks. Some of them were perfect for me. Others caught my eye because they were unique and, even though I might not wear them, I know they are perfect for someone else! In a few cases, you will notice pieces that match. Please note that they are sold separately, but I wanted to show you that you can create a matching set. The first photo is not an item that I ordered, but I just had to show it to you because it is personalized with “my” name! 😉
