I apologize for taking so long to get this done! The kids & I are on vacation in TN. We spent a few days at a special event in Nashville, then came to my parents’ house. In the midst of this visit, Alaska Girl and I went to a wedding in Arkansas. Since returning on Saturday night, Japan Boy has been sick. He had a fever with ear and jaw pain. The fever broke, but the pain remained. He is better today, so we are planning to go to Cincinnati tomorrow for some fun and shopping. We had planned to leave today, but I delayed due to his illness. We plan to head home to VA on Friday. Meanwhile, hubby spent some time at Gettysburg (while a family friend house-sat) and has been taking care of stuff at home (yard, garden, pets, etc.). He has also done some maintenance work on his car.
Phew! Busy, busy! ) This evening, I finally had a chance to go through the giveaway entries and delete the ones that weren’t valid. I also triple-checked the winning entry to make sure the rules were met. Rafflecopter is an amazing tool for managing giveaways, but it is still in Beta version and there are some problems that have to be fixed. For instance, several people emailed to indicate they couldn’t get their entries to go through, but I later found those entries (over and over again) in the Rafflecopter list. So, there are some definite “blips” in the way things work when there is a problem with an entry.
OK, without much further adieu, the winner of the “1776″ Combo Package from TOS is…
The Freedom Giveaway Hop is a book-related giveaway hop co-hosted by Kathy of I Am A Reader, Not A Writer and Stacie of Simply Stacie. Approximately 200 blogs are signed up to give away books or book-related items. Each blog is responsible for it’s own giveaway and there is no minimum or maximum prize requirement. Some of the blogs may have more than one giveaway. You may enter as many – or as few – of the giveaways as you like between now and 11:59 PM Eastern Time on July 7, 2011. Simply hop from blog to blog via the linky list below, or by visiting the original list at I Am A Reader, Not A Writer.
Although I am offering a homeschool-related prize, you do NOT need to be a homeschooler to enter. If you win and you are not a homeschooler, please consider gifting your win to a homeschooling friend! I will need an email address for the winner.
The prize here at Totally Temberton is the “1776″ Package from The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, which includes a 1-year subscription to the print version of TOS magazine and exclusive subscriber access to Teacher’s Toolbox (an AWESOME value in and of itself). Total value of the package – Blooming Deal 1 – is $150+. Click the 1776 link for full details of the package contents. (TOS is sponsoring this giveaway. I am purchasing the 1776 package and arranging for them to give it to the winner). Winner will receive the prize via an email link from TOS, which will be sent after the winner confirms. Winner will be chosen randomly via Rafflecopter, which uses Random.org to select winners. The winner’s entry will be verified for compliance with the rules before confirmed.
to Nashville today (Wednesday). We’ll be spending a few days at a Christian University, then we’ll spend about a week visiting my parents. THEN, we’re off to Arkansas for a wedding…and up north for another trip to Cincinnati. We’ll be home mid-July. Please pray for traveling mercies as we cover all those miles!
Meanwhile, I will be blogging as I have time. But, there will be days when I won’t have time. LOL! While I’m gone, I’ll be participating in the Freedom Giveaway Hop (July 1st to 7th). Please stop by and enter. I have a great homeschool giveaway up for grabs. Stay tuned for more information on that! :) I’ll also be posting a review of the brand new book “Baby’s 100 First Days”. I haven’t even seen the book yet. I had it shipped to my parents’ house, since I’ll be there. I’m looking forward to it! Who doesn’t love babies?
