We have heard from the TOS Crew member in Japan and she is doing OK, but she asks for continued prayers for so many who have been affected by the earthquake and tsunami.
I went to see a P.A. at my doctor’s clinic yesterday as a follow-up on all of this bladder/kidney stuff that has been going on for 7 weeks. I am doing fine right now, but I may have a stone in my urethra (it felt like it moved out of my bladder after I was in ER last week). I felt some strange sensations in my urethra on Thursday and the P.A. did seem to think that it was due to a stone moving through there. I still do NOT (yet) have a followup appointment with the urologist.
Meanwhile, while I was talking with the P.A., she noticed a suspicious mole on my left arm. We discussed it and decided to remove it and send it to pathology. Another P.A. was available to do it right away and he took care of it with gentleness and a great bedside manner. I now have 3 stitches and will follow up on the 21st to have the stitches removed. Don’t worry! It was not traumatic! (for me). I am not squeamish about needles and such. And it doesn’t hurt even now. (I find that a bit odd.) I’d rather have it OFF because I had been watching it suspiciously for a while. I am quite familiar with the risks of skin cancer, as my Dad has had it several times and came close to losing a finger because of it. Also, my DH had had two places removed from his ear. My regular doctor is aware of my family history and my personal concerns. She helps me keep on top of it; but, for some reason, I cannot recall if we discussed this particular mole when I saw her in October. I know it was there, but it may not have been as big or irregular back then. Anyway, the fact that the P.A. noticed it when we weren’t even discussing skin issues just confirms to me that it needed to go.
One of my new blog buddies is having a TERRIBLE time with kidney stones. She has been very sick and has had a lot of pain. It is affecting every aspect of her life! It sounds 100 times worse than what I’ve been through. Please pray for Erica to get some relief!
Another new blog buddy was due to be induced on Friday morning. Actually, she was scheduled to be induced on Thursday and the appointment was changed, but NOBODY TOLD HER. How utterly annoying! Anyway, I have not heard anything through her blog and may not for some time. Please pray for a safe delivery, if baby is not here already.
